Those who got approved in 2007- did you get medical

Congratulations to those who got approval this year. Did you get a rfe for medical and how long ago were your medical done. This year there has been no memo extending the validity of previous medicals- it seems like people who submitted medicals 2-3 years ago were not asked for new medicals this year.

Your input will be appreciated.

USCIS rejecting more "incomplete" I-693 now???

Hello hopeful005,

I would like to share my experience although I am not sure how relevant it is to your question.

I had my medical exam and vaccinations last week and was expecting to get my I-693 yesterday, but my doctor (in Rhode Island) instead told me that I would need to get two additional tetanus shots in order for him to fill out the form and that I would need to wait 4 weeks to get the second one and 6 months to get the third one.

The doctor said that just one tetanus shot had been sufficient until 3 days ago when he received a letter from a USCIS Field Office director saying that many forms that he had filled out for I-485 applicants in the past had been "not appropriately completed." The doctor said that those forms had been returned for that reason.

I am wondering if other doctors (USCIS Civil Surgeons) in RI and other states have been receiving such a letter.

I have been hoping to file my I-485 before the end of this month so that I will not need to pay a new I-485 fee of $905 which could be in effect as soon as April 1.

I hope this info is of use, and would like to hear about other applicants' experiences.
