HI,

My 485 was submitted to USCIS on 2nd August. My checks get cashed today.
I got the receipt number from back of the check. And I checked the status.
I got following status,

"On September 4, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS,....."

Why it said September 4, 2007? What is going on? Is USCIS playing any games with us?

Is any one in same situation?

Thats not your receipt date and don't worry...

Don't worry at all. Your receipt date will be the date USCIS received your application. Once after you receive the receipt notice, you can find your receipt date over there.

What ever date that you see in the online status is notice date or some other but not receipt date.
 
Most probably that is the date they generated your receipt notice. In other words that is your notice date. Once you receive your receipt notice, you should be able to see your receipt date and the notice date.
