There was a LUD on my 485 application and the status shows

"This case has been sent for a standard interview."

My case is being processed in TSC and the email from USCIS says

"We transferred this case to our LINCOLN, NE location to conduct the interview that is a standard part of processing this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS"

1) Why do they have to schedule an interview?
2) I did not get any letter regarding this so far from USCIS.
3) Any idea what they ask in the interview?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Interviews are picked out randomly for an X number of applicants for every category and class. This is part of their audit process. So dont get scared and you should be glad and happy that your approval will probably come sooner than most applicants with your timelines because usually the next immediate step after interview is approval. Good Luck and prepare yourself very well in all aspects for the interview.

Thanks a lot Maxwellhouse for your input.

I will prepare for the interview and I hope everything goes well.

I will update you as I have more info.

Thanks
KV
