Third Pary Payroll

Hi
My company, who holds my H1 and sponsored me for my green card used to use a third party for payroll services. As strange as it may sound to you my W2 for that year came with the employer name as the \'third party pay roll service company\'.
This year however my company discontinued their service and started doing their own.
Now for my 485 INS requested the last four pay stubs and the W2 from last year. My W2 from last year shows the \'other company as my employer\' even though I worked all the time for the company that I sponsored for my H1. My company HR when contacted about this, mentioned that it\'s OK to use third party pay roll services.
With the RFE, it is kind of unnerving to have a W2 with a different employer name.
Do you have any opinion to share on this.

Should not be a problem

We went thorugh similar situation at our company. However one
of my co-worker\'s I-485 has been recently approved (submitted
W2\'s for the last 3 years and paystubs with the application).

I think you should talk with your lawyer. The lawyers can write
a letter with I-485 explaining any complications like this one
and there are a bunch of organizations who do their payroll
processing from a 3rd organization. So don\'t worry.

Numerous small companies ....

get their payroll processed by a third party vendor like ADP. I would think that INS has seen that before and it should not be a problem.

ADP is a different situation

ADP just cuts the checks for your and keep a tab on your vacation etc.
That would never be your employer on record though.
