Online and AVM says approved and also received EADs on the mail but mine is exactly the same dates as what I have now on my old card.
Tried to call IIO now but the are not open till after noon or what?

Does anyone know how to correct this and get the corrected card from them, any better way to handle this or any experience?

ghee,

This is really unfortunate !

I feel going to local BCIS office is the best option. If you want to deal with BCIS center(NSC ?) for the error correction, you may have to wait for as much or more time than it took for the initial process of your EAD.

Please keep the forum posted about what you are doing and the outcome of it.

Good Luck !

Ghee,

First of all I suggest you go the local CIS office and get an iEAD and then start the process of correcting(incase you are running out of validity for the old card )

I applied for EAD renewal (2nd one) on 29th September and today I saw the online msg stating additional evidence. Also I saw another post for some additional evidence for EAD renewal.

Is this the latest trend?

The best thing for you to do is take copies of your I-485 receipt, EAD renewal notice, original eAD and the new one yith wrong dates, your driver's license to the local INS office and explain them the error. Before you do that, ask your lawyer to give you a copy of the I-765 form and see if the box that says that this is a petition for RENEWAL is checked. Take the copy of the form too, just in case.

Make sure you keep a copy of all the above documents at home. Whow knows, they might confisticate some documents by wrongly interpeting the immigration laws. Anything is possible with BCIS lately.

Talked to the IIO and she told

me to send a copy with an explanation letter to get it re-issued.
I don't know this is effective.
Any name wrong, date wrong corrected experience?

I have just returned from local BCIS office at Detroit for similar kind of problem (corrction of last name spelling). Its about 120 Miles one way from my house, I reached the office at 6:45 AM and there was a bunch of people in line before me.

At the appointment counter, I was given a number A020 (A means general information and questions). I waited for about 4 hours and little after 11:00 AM I was called to one of the counters.

Guess what, the lady on the counter, very politely, asked me if I had contacted NSC already and did NSC direct me to go to local office. I stated that this is incorrect and my lawyer asked me to walk in here and get it corrected. After a couple of minutes of looking into her computer and asking me what should be the correct spelling of my Name, she went inside to see her supervisor and came back to tell me that I need to send it back to NSC as it was issued by NSC therefore it cannot be corrected here. (No apology for the trouble).

So the bottom line is that my experiance with local office is very poor and should you still want to go to the local office then good luck.

Thanks

If I choose to go to the local office then

can it be regular EAD or just an interim EAD? Local office handles just interim (3 months) or 12 months EAD also?
Thanks.
