They don't seem to send RFE to everyone

One of my friend applied at the end of Nov. 2001, laid off immediately after that, got approval in Nov. 2002. No RFE.

That is policy of last year. We don't know what is the policy of this year. We hope that it hasn't been changed.

goodsint seems like your friend got approval within one year...
if it takes more than one year there are more chances of getting an rfe....
