These new passport laws??

hi, just been reading about everyone needing a machine readable passport when entering the US, what sort of information do these passports hold about a person, not to keen on the idea of people knowing fine personel details about me or is not is it not as bad as that. I travelled to tha US a few years ago and the check in's seem to be find, no hassle, what difference's are there nowadays.

The difference is about that machine and also they'll take your picture and fingerprints when you entry the us,it's new since january 2004, because when i entered the us on dec 2003,they didnt take pictures and fingerprints at all and when i came back here aug 2004,they did it to everyone who enters the us!
