There is no new approvals on rupnet today

Probably vsc is looking at other matters. they might be busy clearing all pending EAD's or as you said zzzzzzzzzzzzzz................

Monday is usually a low day

Don't worry. I think BCIS are still doing their work, although they are very slow. Maybe they haven't updated the web site, or maybe the lucky approvals were very busy today to update rupnet. I believe we will see some new approvals in the follow-up days.

We haven't seen lots of approvals for a month already, Samansa. No Dec approvals for a long time. Maybe several, but definitely not as
fast as in May. Sth happened. When you went to
VSC, did you see them playing around or working?
What kind of office they sit? crowded cube or
spacy office? Do they have free drinks? Well air-conditioned?

Just like to know their working environment, hope
it's not the reason of their anti-approval syndrome.

Ultimately, they need "$$$" sign.

DengDeng, yes, I also noticed they are much slower right now. I just want to be kind of positive. Having some hope is very important in our life, isn't it?

With regard to your question, the VCS is more likely the same with the local office in Pittsburgh. I could not see what the other officers are doing. But I still haven't heard anything about my case and I'm getting a little bit mad.

They are stupid. Because they work for government, that's why they are slow and inefficient. They get
every holiday on the calendar, and weeks of paid vacation. And they don't have incentive to work hard, because they won't be laid off.

If it's outsourced to third party, then definitely it will be much faster.

That's reminds me of the shredding incident at one of the service center by a contractor.

Just scanned 065, 066 series

For 065:

5 RFE sent, 2 transfered

For 066:

1 RFE sent

on 7/14/2003, scanned on 22:05.

That reminds me on the govt employees work. My American colleague used to work for a state park when he was 18 years old. For digging a hole in the ground for planting, 5 people used to go, while one is digging remain 4 used to watch. When the first one is tired, other guy takes over and again the remaining 4 watch. That way all they do is dig 3 to 4 holes everyday, which can be done in an hour, at a normal pace.
Another funny story he told is, There was a plumber working for the same state park, and one day while he was on duty, he lost his right hand completely. After he recovered they took him back into the job. And the most ridiculous thing was they kept him in the same plumbing post. They gave him a driver everyday and a truck (a couple of days my colleague was his driver) and he used to roam around the state park. And he has to do that for the rest of his life. Sure you should help the needy people but if you put them in appropriate jobs that they can contribute something.

VSC has certainly slowed down in the last week or so (compared to orevious weeks). I am not worried though. I love my EAD.

To gcgcgcgc,

I loved the story about the lazy plumber who lost his right hand. I wish I could have a good job like that!
