I read the following from murthy.com. Has anyone heard about these lawsuits?

Chat User : Are pending I-485s being approved regularly since the new fiscal year began on October 1st?

Attorney Murthy : The service centers are moving very slowly in approving I-485s for various reasons. They do not have any funding, and they are often pulled in other directions. The entire process is very slow and frustrating. Some lawyers have filed lawsuits against the government demanding processing of cases. I don't believe that the October 1st date means a whole lot to them, other than for Diversity Visa lottery cases, which have only until September 30, 2003 to be approved and may be filed only after October 1, 2003.

That's true

That's true. One of my "friend" (but he is not disclosing too many details) did sue INS TSC in a federal court in FL recently, as his I-485 was pending for 2 years. TSC approved his case as soon as summons was issued to TSC (in 2 weeks), even before case went to trial.

He says "You and your lawyer needs a good back bone!".

If your stuff is perfect and you are willing to spend couple of thousand dollars, you can do it too.

Good luck!

Lawyers .. backbone ???

R u joking ..?
They have big hands and big pockets to grab and fill your money ....

Many of the lawyers are afraid because ... if they to sue BCIS, their other pending cases may be Jeopardized in the future ... that's why they make us wait and wait ..... what they are going to loose if the GC takes 5 years .... they earn more on EADs and APs or something else ....

I agree...

They are the worst creatures god has ever created! they would love to suck on that very last penny you may have...

But they are better...

Leech, once it is satisfied it will leave you alone...But this worthless invertebrate can never be satisfied...still needs more money for doing nothing...
