Based on the approval pattern that I have been observing in the last month ot so, I think CSC has divi'd the work. Seems like one group is approving pre-April 2002 and the other is looking into post-April 2002. Though there might be lesser resources working on post-April 2002.

Well, these are just my thoughts...
 
Perhaps, they divided the work between the 2 people working in 485s and the one working on April and later cases is slower or he has other extra responsibilities as well ?
 
well you might be onto something here. My wife was called for fingerprints in Novemenbr 2002. ( 485 ND May 02) She was called again for FP in June 2003. We could never get a straight answer as to why she was called a second time eg did they expire after 6 months , was there a problem withthem thefirst time ( the case status tracker had a messed up message for months on her case ).

THe optimistic conclusion was that someone actually took here case off the pile and started working on it and needed new FP beacause they had expired after 6 months. The web tracker now says the FP are received and are being reviewed.
