The time required for I-485 & "CP or AOS"

Hi,
 Questions to experienced person.

1) I am about to file I-485 to NSC. In the timetable, it takes 450 days. Does it really take that long? Can anyone who already got I-485 tell me his/her experience? Is it depending on person\'s natioanlity? (I am Koraen.)

2) Consulate processing & AOS? Note that I am in USA with my family (Wife and son), if I choose "CP", Should whole family go to Korea for an interview? Or only I can go there for an interview for all of my family?

1) AOS takes more than 450 days right now in NSC.
2) Your whole family need to go back to your country for CP interview.

One thing for your reference in case you are considering to leave your current company:
1) if you choose CP, it takes about 12 months: 3 months for NVC + 3 months for US consulate(maybe shorter or longer in your country) + 6 months waiting period after your passport is stamped.
2) AOS: is supposed to be 6 months based on new law.

Chech with your lawyer and hopefully you can post here what your lawyer tell you.
