My wife and I had our interview two weeks ago. The officer told us that our cases were approved and we should expect our cards in the mail within two months. The officer took our index finger prints and signatures. I also saw the officer stamp each of our application packages in three different locations "Approved 03/08/06"

Is it possible that we still havn't cleared the FBI name check or any of the other checks and she said we were approved by mistake? Some people have been waiting for a year after they were told they were approved during their interview due to not clearing the FBI name check.

Is it possible to stamp our cases with the approval stamp without clearing the security checks? I would think not. I really hope I'm just being very paranoid!!!

Did he stamp your passports?
 
You're fine. Approved is approved.

In case your passports haven't been stamped that doesn't mean a thing. Some DO's just don't do it anymore
 
he has no document to say so, or show to an employer as PR

Congratulation on your aproval !!! Do not panic , if your case was aproved , you should hear from them soon !!! I wonder , how this guys they aprove cases without FBI name check uncleared ??? That's strange !!! Hopefully this is not the case on your matter !!! Also i want to know , they retain your EAD and other documents at the interview ??? If the passports weren't stamped , and the doc. were retain , they should give you something at hand to proof that !!!
Just stay calm and continue to wait to hear from them !!! If you do not receive your cards soon , is better to contact them about this !!!

Thanks rex1960 and GHEBAUR. No they didn't take my EAD card or AP documents. I think it is me just being paranoid about the whole thing. This is what 4 years of waiting will do to you :D

I will be eagerly waiting by my mail box!

If they didn't take your documents , that mean something is still pending !!! Probably the name check ( wich i do not belive , but is posible ) or the backlog problem wich never will finish , to many people depend by this on their cases !!! Hopefully you do not have to wait to long for a response from them !!!
