the interview queue

I did my FP month ago ( August 29 ) and no update yet about IL. My DO is Sacramento

I spoke with 2 Level IO yesterday and he said my file is on the interview queue and he refuse to answer any other question.


Does anyone know what interview queue means. is it mean Name check cleared and waiting for schedule or it means it is in Post FP process and name check not cleared yet.


Even my wife didn't receive her IL.

I am leaning towards NC cleared and waiting for scheduling.
(I got the same response, and i am pretty sure the NC was already finished at the time, and i got the IL a week or 2 after that)

I submitted my fingerprints before the actual application for Naturalization and on September 16 they were still doing background check, on September 25-26 my status has changed for the interview and on September 28 I received my Interview letter.
It won't be long, after background checks may be 1-2 weeks, because they have to send your case to DO and arrange the Interview with them.

Im living far away from ASC, so I was on vacation in another state, and just swing by ASC and had my fingerprints taken explain them that im about to submit my Naturalization packet. They gave me a paper sheet with stamp and I attached it to the N-400 packet. Off course before doing it I send e-mail to Service Center explain them my situation and unavailability to leave work during normal working hours and drive over 60 miles to ASC, and they gave me OK to do that.
