The Freeze on Green Card Approval: A reality!

I spoke with a male IIO today about the freeze on 485 applications. He was polite and explained fully to me that there is a huge delay in I485 processing. He confirmed that applications are on the freeze as 95% of the officers have been deployed to adjudicate more important applications like "some work visas for some "salvadorian" group.

I really did not understand who the salvadorian group is. He said this was the topmost pririty right now and this will go on for the next 2-3 months.

I called back again around 330pm to see if I could confirm this story with another IIO. I was told their computers had crashed!
Very strange beuaracracy. Very strange.
 
Well I was hoping not to have to spend $120 on an EAD renewal; but I guess I better send it in, since it expires in about 4 months.
 
TSC Stories

I stopped asking WHY to any of the IIOs at TSC. Most are filthy liars. I think there is a very strong existence of anti-immigration-hate-group at TSC.
 
You are right about anti-immigration. People make fun of the way I talk, my culture.
Its not easy for Canadians here in the US. :)
