The approvals drought continues...

As it can be seen from the last few days, the approvals drought continues and we see no approvals :( I'm starting to think not only that Dec approvals will never start, but that CSC has stopped processing cases at all :( :( :( Any comments appreciated...

May be since this is fiscal year end for INS, they are busy with their year end activities of compiling data, metrics etc.. Hang in there, I am sure they will pick up the pace in 1-2 weeks. Good luck.

Cheers

Bhidu.

10x for the good wishes... Hope you are right and we will see Dec approvals soon... (and/or any others....). This waiting is killing me...

I hate to do this but ..

But .. I think CSC is headed right where say TSC is. In other words, a total freeze on 485's. We will probably see a sputtering slow down, to a total stop at CSC as far as 485's are concerned. Which will be followed by restructuring of INS which will either introduce even more redtape and cumbersome procedures, or make it simple and fair to work here, but impossible to permanently immigrate to USA except in EB1 or NIW cases.

(Don't give me the arguments about America is immigration etc., if America was respectful of immigrants they wouldn't have INS, they'd have blockbuster running the show. Terrorists live here on expired visas for 10-15 years, and you are a day late for a movie return @ blockbuster and they are all over your ass.)

In the short term scenario though I expect mid of october (max) onwards to pick up some pace, which should last for a while. This means, most of us Oct/Nov/ and many Dec. people will get approved. If we donot get this pickup by oct. mid max, we're really screwed, all of us.

Anything beyond that, I'm worried.

To summarize,

Restructuring of INS is like a Tsunami coming into the beach. Whoever manages to get out before that will be okay.

The silver lining here is, that INS CSC is doing *SOMETHING*, (FP's, EAD's etc.). They just need to switch their attention a little bit.

Also the above is my intuition. No basis whatsoever.

Silly Man,

I totally agree with you - everything from now on will be based on good luck :( Whoever will manage to get approved will win - all the others are screwed :( The question is: how far INS will go with approval dates before commence of this restructuring... Honestly, I'm really scared about my case being with Dec ND :(:(:(:(:(:(

Rabble Rousers

Chill out with the rabble rousing. The simple fact is that CSC is doing inventory. So something should start happening after 1 or 2 weeks.

This is a democratic country and there are laws and procedures that INS needs to follow.

God knows what kind of banana republic you dropped here from.

Good luck

banana republic???

ca-to-wa,
What's exactly your point with the "banana republic"?

P.S. I don't like them at all :)

Cool down

Guys
I guess we need to cool down. Everything is fine with CSC. They have been doing a decent job.
There is nothing to worry, case processing will resume soon.

If we do not see any approvals till November then we can assume that processing has slowed down.

My lawyer told me that I-485 processing at CSC is pretty good compared to other centers.

Rabble Rousers ca-to-wa?

Don't thing there is any harm in posting personal thoughts, I definitely saw a disclaimer at the bottom of silly man's post saying it was his intutive guess. So what exactly is the problem here.

This is a forum. Last I checked Forums were places to discuss opinion. While you are free to disagree, you are definitely not free to initiate personal attacks against others.

What kind of racist remark were you trying to pull with the snide "banana republic" comment?

America being a democratic country with laws and procedures, does not imply a fault free existance. The INS is screwed up, and that has been acknowledeged in the Congress so where do you get off with your "Holier than thou" defence of a totally screwed up organization, which as silly man so aptly put it, if existed in the private sector would soon be driven bankrupt by its inadequacies. I pay tax dollars to run the INS so I expect service. Where does INS get off by making me wait for donkey years to issue simple rulings when illegal immigrants are perpetually gaining rights over the legal immigrants for re-election purposes? So get your facts straight and cut the stupid personal attacks ca-to-wa.

Who cares -
Perhaps wac-02-124 is an age-out case? Is it possible for you to verify that?

Its not age out case

It is not an age out case. As I mentioned earlier it is EB3 and FP location is San Jose.
