To make this a short story. I applied for my Naturalization case in November 2002 through military service. PD is Dec 13, 2002.
Appointment in Feb 2005. Officer informs me that no recommendation can be made because the BACKGROUND CHECK IS STILL PENDING. Today I received an answer that my name check was done back in Dec 26, 2002.
Now that I have this information with me, what should I do? I am visiting my congressman's office in few days. Also, since I have changed my name last year, do you think CIS will request a new name check to be done. How can I find out, and what should I do to expedite the process this time around?
