Hi All,

My Aug 2002 case is finally approved and the agony is over. I just received 4 Emails from USCIS (2 for my wife and 2 for myself). I had my ups and downs here in US. Was laid off for 4 months and without salary for 5 months that too immediately after I got married and spent all money on wedding.

But things have started to get better ;)

Following are my GC journey details:
Case applied at VSC
Labor Applied Sep 2001, Approved Dec 2001
140 Applied Feb 2002, Approved May 2002 (company had quota per month and just did not apply. Desi company Ugh)
485 Applied Aug 21 2002, (Same reason, see 140), ND 28th Aug
EAD1, AP1 Approved Sep 2002
FP 1 Nov 21
EAD2, AP2 Approved Aug 2002
Moved to a different address and filed AR11: Oct 2003
Called up USCIS in May 1st week 2004 regarding expired FP and status but got same BS. Also told them about my new address and got it updated for myself and wife. LUD for my case showed 3/23 and for wife it showed 4/23
FP 2 Jun 01 2004 (Early) Got notice copy from lawyer (a**holes sent at old address)
Applied 3rd EAD and AP on Jun 5 2004 (ND)
Approved Jul 1st 2004 :cool:
I never had to use AP and EAD though

The LUD never got changed after my address update. And No RFE :)

I sincerely thank Rajiv Khanna and you all guys for keeping up the moral and the fight.

I hope and pray for everybody waiting to get their approval soon!

I also passed thru similar situation

Can you please provide the email address from where you received the approval email so that I can set up in my hotmail account to send me a mobile alert when I receive something. This way i can escape the pain of checking the status every hour. I already registered with INS to get the email notification.

I got email when I registered with INS to get email notification. You have already taken that step. Although I did register, but could not help checking at least twice a day (what if there email system has a backlog too ;) :D )
