Congrats man,

Please if you can share your interview experience as soon as possible as a lot of us have their interview very soon.

Thanks.

Did they ask for financial support?
Did they ask for affidavit of support?
Did they ask for a Job offer?

Congratulations on your interview! All that matters is that it is done and successful.
Mine was also pretty brutal! Felt like two parts, and once I passed the brutal test part, we moved to part two that ended pretty well. What FO? Can't wait to read ur experience...hopefully u will also post in main DV2012 AOS forum too (assuming u were doing aos).

Congratulations! What incredible emotions you must be experiencing now :)

I think you should be fine. There may have been a slighty delay in putting the Visa on your passport. Just check back on Monday. I'm sure it will be ready by then.

We are waiting to read your interview experience.

Goodluck with the rest of your preparations

my interview

After arriving at the u.s consulate lagos on the 23rd of feb 2012. 7am. i got to the embassy 15min before my interview i was asked to open my medical report by my self. after which i went through some security check before going in to the main entrance. i payed 440 u.s dollars at the payment counter after which i was asked to sit down. about 30min later i was called to another counter for document submittion photocopy appart and original seperatly i submited all document like birth certificate, school result, medical report, police report and my international passport with two passport foto. i wasnt asked for affvt of surpport. after submmiting the document,

Long form vs Short form Birth Certificate!!!

Everyone,

Below is the infomation that can be found on travel.state.gov website regarding information on birth certificates:

"Each applicant will need to obtain an original birth certificate issued by the official custodian of birth records in the country of birth, showing the date and place of birth and the parentage of the applicant, based upon the original registration of birth. Submit to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at your interview. Important Notice: All Immigrant Visa applicants must submit a long form original birth certificate. Short form birth certificates will not be accepted. The certificate must contain the:

Person's date of birth;
Person's place of birth;
Names of both parents; and,
Annotation by the appropriate authority indicating that it is an extract from the official records."

My question is what does "Long Form Original Birth Certificate" mean and how to get it? Is this something that they stated from EDV2012?

Your thoughts are highly appreciated!!!!
Thank you all!!!

I don't know about the country you were born in, but in general the difference is this:

Long Form

Long form birth certificates are original birth certificates that contain detailed information including the place of birth, name at birth, date of birth, parent(s) name(s) and their birth information, hospital name, doctor name and time of birth.

Short Form

Short form birth certificates include basic birth information including name, sex, county of birth, date of birth, parent(s) name(s), and state file number.
