please tell what is AOS.

AOS is Adjustment of Status i.e applying I-485

You need to specify at I-14- stage if you want to go for CP or AOS. Even if you chose CP in I-140 stage and get I-140 approved you can still go for I-485 i.e Adjustment of Status.
