Hello all,
I am medicine resident going to do my fellowship in cardiology starting next year.I dont have a great credentials to my name to boast off.But i do plan to try for EB1 or NIW to get GC.I have 5 papers so far ,2 first author and 2 book chapter .I am working currently in a research lab as a full time employee ,till I start my fellowship next year.
I talked to an attorney, she after looking at my credentials said that it will be difficult to get EB1 or NIW at nebraska. But she did mentions that at texas, they are little lenient. But she said that she wont file for me through texas,as it is not legal given my present residency(place of my work) in mid-west.
I am little apprehensive about this.As I told earlier,I want to give a try through EB1 or NIW and I want to give myself all the best chances I can (by applying through texas).
I am wondering,if anybody here can answer,
1) Go by my attorney advice and file in nebraska,(Though, she herself metions that they are stringent with the criteria)
2)Can I request my attorney to file for my case through texas(Is it illegal ,as my current residency is in mid west)
3) Is it legal for me to apply through texas ,inspite of me living in midwest now.
Thanks for anybody taking their time to answer the question.
