I wonder what effects on immigration procedures and law and the issue of illegal immigration it will have.
As you probably all know sex muslims were arrested for plotting to attack military bases in NJ. One naturalized citizen, two permanent residents and three illegal.
One can argue that the current way of screening out potentially hostile or dangerous immigrants is uselsess, so don't do any of it. The obvious counter argument is to create an even stricter and more comprehensive screening mechanism.
It will certainly give ammunition to supporters of tougher enforcement of immigration laws, since three of them were illegals.
Mostl likely, however, nothing will change.
Any thoughts?
