Termination before 180 days

Folks,

I wanted to ask for some assistance. What happens if termination of employment occurs prior to the 180 days of I485 application?

This may happen soon to me. I have EAD and AP received last month already.

I have heard that things are OK if you find another job in the same arena, however, people have mentioned that I could be in trouble in case RFE is issued.

1) Has anyone successfully completed this process with this type of situation before?
2) Why is the RFE a ticket for potential trouble?

I really need help and thoughts would be appreciated.
