Hi,

I have taken skin TB test, which turned out to be positive.
Doctor took my chest X-ray, which was normal. He asked me
to goto County hospital to get a clearance.

I have got a clearance from county hospital. Now what should
I do. Do I need to ask Immigration doctor or county hospital
to send that report to immigration. Or I need not to do anything
till immigration ask for RFE.
Thankyou in advance.

Skin test being positive is common for persons from Asia especially India...

X-ray is what matters. The immigration doctor will fill up the forms accordingly, so do not worry.

Positive PPD test!

Turning positive for PPD skin test is very common for people from India. It only shows one has dormant TB. This is due to the fact that we are hailing from high incidence area, especially Asian region. It could be also the result of BCG vaccine we took at infant stage.
Don\'t worry, since the X-ray has cleared you, INS will not care much and the pHYSICIAN\'s report will take care of Ins requirement. But the state health center might get in touch with you and fix u up an appointment with the TB clinic nearest to you. It\'s upto you if u need to follow up with the health center. I don\'t think State health center will go back to INS if you do not apper for the appointment(if you are worried about IH medicine, as is the medication they normaly prescribe).

What happens if there is past TB scar in chest X - Ray? I have it but my INS authorized doctor said it should not be a problem as it is inactive

Don\'t worry. You will be fine. As long as X-Ray is good, you don\'t have

to worry about your health as well as I-485 process.

I have a friend who had a similar experience, her TB test was also +ive,She had to get another TB test when she came back to the US after the consulate processing.....thats all....Its very common among people of Indian origin to get a +ive TB test....
