Dear friends,

My TB Skin test came back +ve. Doc wants to know whether BCG was given. I have no idea whether I was given or not. I dont think my parents do remember this too. Is there any other way to find out whether it was given like a mark on the shoulder etc.

I do have some vaccination marks but I am not sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Most Desi\'s vacinated show positive ...

Mine also show positive ... i don\'t know how that affects the medical ??

Don\'t think it does.

My sis also had the same issue, they gave her some medicine. She was told that it won\'t affect her medical.

For my wife, the ckin test was positive but the Xray was negative (this is recorded in the report). But on the remarks column on the report the doctor went on to mention that pills have been recommended and the applicant has started to take them. My wife discontinued them after sometime after considering the fact that this could damage her liver. Do you think that this would pose a condition for RFE? Does anyone have any similar experience?! Should I not worry too much about this?! Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated!

No Title

As mentioned, TB skin test will come out +ve for most South East Asians. Submit a chest X-ray and you should be fine. As a matter of fact, Indians should even go for skin test. Get a plain and simple chest X-ray and be done and over with.

SCS or milli, You guy get wrong doc.

SCS & milli,

You guy get wrong doctor.
Let me asking something from you.
If your 3 years old car have problems, the mechanician said "you need to change the engine". What you will do ? If I would you, I will asking second mechanician to check it.

There have a lot people post the answer here. and you still look for wrong answer.

SCS,
Do not worry too much. It will be O.K. for your wife. You just get wrong doctor.
By the way, You should post the stupid immi. doctor name, So people will not get wrong one again.

No Problem. My skin test was also +ve

Hi Venkat,

Don\'t worry. My skin test was also +ve. But the doctor did a chest X-ray the next day and concluded that I don\'t have TB. I hope you can talk to you doctor and ask them to do the same.

Hope this would help.

-JeyKumar.
