Tax transcripts

I have a problem !!

I had requested for my tax transcripts about 3 weeks ago and I still havn't received them. I am leaving for India later this week. Now in the absence of the transcripts can I submit a copy of the 1040 forms that I had sent to IRS for filing my taxes.

What other options do I have? Please help.

transcripts

you can walk into the nearest IRS office and pick them up after filling in the forms required. IRS website shuld have the required info.

It takes less than an hour in IRS office to get your transcripts. Easiest way is to walk in get your papers...

Whats a Tax transcript ????

Is it different from the copies of the taxes we file ?

Ofcourse same.. but with IRS stamp...
