I have my interview scheduled in January and am in the process of gathering documents. I have obtained tax transcripts from IRS for the last three years (2000,2001 and 2002). Do I still need the 1040 and the W2's. The reason I am asking is because I am missing the 2001 W2.

Is it OK to submit the tax transcripts if they ask for W2's. Does anybody have any such experience? Senior members, please advise.

Thanks!!

If you have w-2's and state tax forms for last 3 years carry them too. The IRS transcripts are basically your federal tax copies, not state/ city.

Although it is not required to carry w-2 and state tax forms for last 3 years, I strongly recommend and I did the same but was never asked for them or for the transcripts.
