I called the IRS to request my TAX Transcript. They said I can get 4 years tax returns: Tax Year Ending: 12/31/2005, Tax Year Ending: 12/31/2004, Tax Year Ending: 12/31/2003, Tax Year Ending: 12/31/2002.

I have read in several places that for the Interview they sometimes need 5 previous year's tax returns.

How to provide that since IRS only gives me 4 years??

Thanks

The Naturalization Guide says that you only need to provide transcripts/copies of tax returns for the last 5 years in case you had an absence of more than 6 months and are trying to prove that it did not constitute a break in the continuous residence requirement.
This only applies to a fairly small portion of the applicants.

I have not heard about interview officers for ordinary cases asking for more than the last three years of tax return transcripts (but I might be wrong about this, maybe more experienced people should comment).

If you really want to, you can request an IRS-certified photocopy of your tax returns that are older than 4 years. You need to file form 4506 with IRS. There is a processing fee of $39 per return and it takes a few months.

The form can be downloaded from the IRS website:
