Tax transcript for wifes GC.....

I'm in the process of gathering all the information required for the USCIS for my wifes GC. I'm filling out form 4506-T on the IRS website for my previous 4 years tax return transcripts. There's a few options on what type of transcript I require. The choices are :

- Return Transcript
- Account Transcript
- Record of Account
- Verification of Non-Filing (I know it's not this one)
- Form W-2, Form 1099 series, Form 1098 series, or Form 5498 series transcript

I'm a bit confused which one will be acceptable to the USCIS. I'm assuming it's going to be the "Return Transcript" - but just thought I'd ask on here just so that I don't get it wrong!

Thanks.

You can call instead of filling out the form - you get up to 5 years of transcripts either faxed or mailed to you. Number to call is
1-800-829-1040

Oh nice - I didn't know that they can fax the returns to you. No big deal. I faxed them my request last night. It'll take a few days for them to come. I'm in no rush - just want to be prepared though. Thanks for the heads up though.

Also, would the USCIS be wanting originals or would copies suffice?

I called the number and requested 3 years of transcripts. I did it all through the automated system without ever speaking to someone. I got all three transcripts about 6-7 business days later. It was much better than trying to make copies of all my tax returns!
