Tax returns

Hello Gurus,

I know that we need to carry 3 years of tax returns. I know we can get transcript from IRS for the last 3 years.

1. Is the transcript from IRS sufficient for this?

2. Do we need to provide state tax returns too OR are just federal tax returns needed? If we need state tax returns where can we get transcripts of the state tax returns?

Always better to go with more documents than few documents
