Tax returns for the interview

I have heard different opinions about taking tax returns for the interview.
Various opinions are from not to take tax returns/ take last year tax return/take last 5 years of tax returns.
Letter did not mention anything about bringing tax returns, what is the correct practice?

the best practice is... prepare more documents than you are asked rather then resubmit the evidence later.

I gathered 5-7 years of tax returns and transcripts for my upcoming interview.

it is sure an overkill. however, i rather prepare everything i can than missing a document during the interview.

it is your call.
