How many years are of tax returns are needed for the interview, I've been reading on some other forums that BCIS needs 5 years, but I think I remmeber the form requesting only three, I'm filling under the 3 yr marriage.

Also, can anyone list what documents are required, and any additional documents that might be helpful at the interview. Also someone mentioned on a previous thread that you do not need a current passport; is that still the case?.

Thanks.

Did you have a trip outside US in the last 3 years (marriage to USC) ? If so get returns for all 3 years.

3 years is minimum, 5 years is recommended.

Other docs -> marriage cert, bank stmts (showing ur and spouse's name), rent receipts etc.

If you were under 26 at PR time then did u register with SSS.gov?

Take any passport u got , GC, reentry permits, drv license.

Thanks

Yes, I had about two trips total, for about 2 weeks each, and none this year purposely for the n-400.

I have all five tax returns, bank statements and mortgage information. We just recently had a baby after petition, does that change anything?

You can include the baby information during your N-400 interview, and congratulations! :)

You have adequate documentation. You actually needed the tax returns if your trips were greater than 6 months at a time. Just have adequate proof of marriage (certificate/photos) & you are still living together (joint account statements for example, joint Tax returns) as you are claiming Cz on that premesis

All the best!
