Is it a standard procedure for BCIS to check past tax returns of AOS applicants???

My lawyer did not send mine in with the file. And they didn't even ask for it on the interview!

Nefertiti, did they ask for the summary of your tax return or a comprehensive tax return?
 
They just asked for 2003 and 2004 tax returns, so i gave them photocopies of returns that i will send to irs., federal and state, guess that's comprehensive version.
