Tax return

I'm getting ready to file I-485 semi-concurrently with an already pending I-140, EB-1 EA case - self-petitioned. Do I have to enclose my most recent tax return with the rest of the forms? The instructions don't call for it.

true!
my reading experience says that this is not required for eb1 categories. all..or rather for any categories....uscis sometime ask this in case of eb3 at times .............

My lawyer asked me to put a copy of tax returns in the package. It doesnt hurt if you put additional documents. However, if later on you get RFE for that, it sucks and wastes a lot of time.

Thank you for your comments!

Garemani, is your case EB-1?

I was just wondering, what would be the purpose of including a tax return? My 2005 tax return doesn't really prove anything (I'm not showing hardly any income last year), least of all that I get high salary in my field (my case is based on other "extraordinary" reasons). So what would it help? I could include an I-134, an affidavit of support from a friend, but the EB-1 EA seems to be achievement-oriented rather than employment/income-oriented... But should I enclose an I-134 just in case as well?

I just wonder, how my tax return would help... And if it wouldn't, should I present it?

I really appreciate your feedback!
