TAX Return Issues

I filed jointly with my wife last year with her ITIN number, and this year also I am filing jointly with my wife with her SSN number which she got this year after receiving Green Card. My refund is rejected saying my wife's Adjusted Gross Income does not match. Is it because of ITIN vs SSN? Did anyone else run into the same problem and what was the resolution?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Ok here is what you should have done after getting SSN for wife:

Send a copy of her ITIN with her SSN to the IRS. It is mentioned in the ITIN (If you get an SSN, please send the SSN to the following address...)

This is that you SHOULD do:

File a paper return and enclose a copy of ITIN and SSN.

This is normal.

No, You have to put your wifes AGI as 0, instead of your AGI. There was a link somewhere on this forum about that. Even my Federal was rejected stating that my wifes AGI. I entered 0 and sent it back. Now they have accepted.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Kosu, I also found out yesterday about setting the AGI for 0 for spouse. It was accepted yesterday by IRS.
