Tax Retun Copies

Hi,

Can somebody advise on how to get tax return copies/acknowledgement from IRS. I have my personal copies of tax return statements prepared by H&R block, but I guess that will definitely not work??
If we need to get this from IRS office only could somebody tell me what the process is ?

Personal copies(of 1040) will work just fine.
 
Call this toll free no. 1 800 829 1040 and order for tax transcripts. You will get it in 7 -10 work days.
 
I think I will order for tax transcripts as RAMS71 has suggested (just to be on the safe side) .

I callled the 1800 # that Rams71 suggested, its very simple & easy! The automated message says the tax transcripts will be mailed in around 10 days.
