Actually, you need to pay taxes both in US and Canada.
Canadian tax rates are relatively higher than US tax rates. So, you get credit for the taxes you pay in US when you file a tax return in Canada and you pay the difference.
Even though you are paying taxes in US and Canada, it does not amount to double taxation because logically your income is subject to tax at Canadian tax rate. Hope you understand.
