tax deductions??

does anybody know if the legal expenses paid for O-1 visa (and green card later) are tax deductible?

Professionals across the board who have paid dearly for legal and immigration fee generally claim such amounts as job related expenses. (can you perform/practice your profession without appropriate visa?)
