Tax deductions for CP trave??

Do U know if we can claim "Tax exemption" on travel for CP purpose & also on the VISA fee which we pay in Consular??

My company did not pay for travel & Visa fee..
Let me known of U'r opnions

There was an extensive discussion in the old forum regarding this and there were conflicting opinions rendered; including some quotes from CPA/tax consultants. The matter was never resolved, but if you can prove that you need the green card to continue in your job, you might be able to deduct the expenses as job related. Now this is just my opinion and I am no tax expert.
 
if you can prove that your visit was strictly for immigration visa and not a joyride your compnay can reimburse the expenses. You can prove this by creating a tight schedule for your trip. I am not sure whether you can deduct this expense from taxable income.
