I need some advice please !!! Thanks in advance

I have EAD (valid till Jan 5th 2004 and Travel Document valid till dec 10th 2003 ,

I have applied for renewal for both

I need to travel to India within a month for a month or so

My H1 approval has expired and am on EAD.

I had my status converted from F1 to H1 and i never went out of country so i did not get H1 stamp ever on Passport.

So my question is related to traveling to India

1) will i need to go to US embassy in India (for what? I dont know)

or

Can i just use Travel Document (Advance Parole) and EAD

2) what other documents will i have to carry during my travel

Anyone with similar experience please suggest

Thanks in advance

Re: Traveling on Advance Parole

To answer your questions:

1) will i need to go to US embassy in India (for what? I dont know)

No, you don't need to go to the US Consulate since you have a valid AP.

or

Can i just use Travel Document (Advance Parole) and EAD

Yes, use your Advance Parole to re-enter the US.

2) what other documents will i have to carry during my travel

Carry your passport, original AP, EAD, Copy of your 485 Receipt Notice, Standard Employment letter, Copies of your previous visas, plus any other document you think is important.

I visited India in Apr 2003 and returned without any problems using AP. They ask standard questions like 'How long were you out of the US?', 'Which countries did you visit?', etc. Typically, they will just look at your passport and AP, stamp the AP and I-94 and return it to you. The other documents are for 'just-in-case' situations. Hope that helps.
