Talked with IIO

Just now, I did talk with IIO, she told me case is pending for the approval and they got my FP results.
She did not tell any thing about my file and regarding whether it is already assigned to officer or not
and also she did not tell any thing about the case status for my wife.
Anyway hope for the best and have firm faith on Almighty God. Hopefully we should have approval soon.
My case details are:
RD: 04/16/2001
ND: 05/23/2001
FP: 11/23/2001 (done on scheduled date @SJ)
AVM updated: on Dec. 29, 2001 your FP results have been collected and your case has been resumed.......

The sequence of messages I have noticed thus far after FP are

1) "FP\'s collected on ???... pending review" - This probably means that FBI did initial processing and sent the reply back to INS.
2) "FP review completed.... processing resumed" - This probably means that the background check report came back and the case is adjudication-ready.
3) "This case has been approved...."
OR
4) Message indicating RFE. If you get an RFE there are other future messages connected to RFE receipt etc.

Folk who got recent approvals can confirm this or correct this. Again, there is no direct co-relation between the date processing was resumed on your case and actual assignment and adjudication of your case. Once a case becomes adjudication-ready it goes to a shelf corresponding to its Month of RD. Cases are allocated to adjudication officers by Month of RD. The month of RD is the only safe predictor of when your case may be assigned. Right now, April/May cases are being assigned.

Dee Rod slight correction

Right Now wven June RD\'s are being assigned(We have an approval of a member who is of June RD)

Regards

Must have been assigned a month back...

The June RD which got approved a couple of days back must have been assigned 15-30 days, assuming it takes that much time for the Officer to approve a case..

My 2 cents worth !!!

i agree with dee rod

one june rd approval maybe an exception case. I think INS is just trying to show their supervisors that june has started
That is excellent for the candidate but i think that they should concentrate and finish all cases less than and equal to april rds.
and then proceed to may and then to june
Either approve april cases or have some reason like
a) fp not done
b) agency check not over
c) rfe issued
d) transfer to local service center for interview

If no sensible reason then concentrate and finish the month and then move on to next month

Just my 2 cents

INS is not systematic - hope they hire some wizards who can really do a good job at scheduling and organizing

But on the other hand CSC is much much better than the rest (VSC/NSC/TSC)

You\'ve got a point, julyi485 but as rsrgc mentioned...

in another post in this thread, the one JUNE RD approval may be an exception. I think we would be safe in assuming that JUNE RD\'s are consistently being assigned if one or both of the following 2 things happen :
1) We see at least 10 approvals for JUNE RD cases. That number is not cast in concrete but that is where I\'d like to draw a line in the sand.
2) Several folks talk to IIO\'s and find out that their JUNE RD cases have been assigned. I would believe it when an IIO says a case is assigned for the simple reason that they can see that when they pull up your case. They can as easily say it is not assigned if it really is not. I also can see where a case is assigned and then the officer returns the case to the file room if he finds out that they have to add something else to your case file. The file room clerks pull a lot of data/reports together into your case file. If they miss out something I can see the case being returned to the file room and hence become unassigned.

We have seen enough MAY RD approvals to safely assume that MAY RD cases are consistently being assigned at this time. My 2 cents.

I would like to be optimistic here

I would like to be little bit more optimistic here and share my thoughts :

if

the AVM says " processing resumed " AND RD ( June , July , Aug )

then

assigned to Officer

From the past trend one this is clear that when INS picks up speed , it clearly out the backlog fast . ( remember how the June RD\'s too 2 month and got ND in Aug ), then after that suddenly , the receipts started pouring in .

Similar theory was for FP , EAD , AP \'s .....

From that I get a feeling that June , July , Aug .....may be even Sept .......are assigned to the officer .( provided ...the AVM says " processing resumed " )

No Title

Processing resumed doesnot mean it is assigned to officer. For me, AVM says processing resumed. I called IIO today. They said case is not yet assgned to officer.
