Talked with IIO - Have Question for Experts

Today I talked with IIO, they said that FBI got back to them on Oct 18th.

Question:
-------------

1. How far am I from approval?
2. They did not entertain my wife\'s WAC#. Is that normal?

If someone has a response could you get back.

Thats strange. They usually let you enquire about your dependents...

Mine was received by INS on Oct 12th (FP taken on Oct 9th). ND: 03/27/01

They asked me to wait a few months :(

IIO\'s answer regarding \'time to approval\' has never been reliable!!!

According to earlier postings some IIOs don\'t tell about dependents but some would do - so just try again.

I\'ve seen some people get their approval one week after
FP.

Others have taken nearly one year. It all depends on luck!

Stalking ? Get a grip on yourselves and wait in line. You guys must be unemployed or on the bench.
 
you will get approved very soon

My FP was on the 25th of August. i called after 4 weeks and asked the IIO if all was OK. she told me that everything was fine with my case, but I had to wait for 9-12 months for approval - standard answer! she even told me to sit back and wait! so i never called again. got approved 3 weeks later. Never take IIO\'s seriously...

Oh Brother,

Please don\'t flame others and try to create unhealthy conversation.
If you don\'t like this forum, please do not visit it. If you had
followed your own advise ("wait in line"), you wouldn\'t be browsing
this forum, you would have just waited for your GC. Many people
have been waiting for years for their Green Card and have decided
to follow up with INS themselves. There are cases where it has
helped the individuals.

If you can\'t add anything constructive to this forum, at least
don\'t discourage others to post their experiences.

Yes, agree with mitr, lotsa people are patiently waiting since 1997

Oh Brother,

Hope you understand our anguish. Started filing our GC in 1997. Several people who started much later have already been approved and we are still hanging around.

Not bothered the IIOs/INS during last 5 years. Its only now that we are trying to take some action since the case is pending for too long.
