Talked to TSC IO today 10/15

I called the TSC via POJ method and talked twice to the same IO(I guess). Both the times, I got the same reply that please check the status of the case online. She didnt even ask for my receipt number. All she said is for case to be approved, it has to be assigned to an IO and everything needs to be complete. She didnt even ask for a receipt number. Very very vague reply. Would the receipt # be visible to her by any chance, since I already entered it in the system in the prompts (generalised message in the call.).

Basically we are waiting on my approval(dependant). Primary already approved. PD-current since beginning.

it's not uncommon

This has happened to me in the past as well.
It just depends on the IO I guess. I m not sure if they automatically get the
receipt number thru call. I doubt that because despite of entering the number,
I have been asked to give it again to the IO.

Sometimes these IOs will not entertain you (simply may be they get same
queries over n over) unless you tell them a valid reason.
So if you start by saying that a national customer service representative forwarded your call to seek further info on your case. Further you can tell that your spouse was recently approved and
you haven't heard anything on your case and fear that the cases may
have got separated. This would probably make it more interesting for them
to check further :)
 
infopass IO told same to me, that my case has been assigned to an officer, hopefully that means its good news based on what TSC IO told you that for approval it needs to be assigned to an IO.

Only time will tell.
 
I also called today to get details on RFE for my little one, but they just told me it goes to attorney on records, and contact them to get details.
 
infopass experience

I went to infopass and talked to nice IO. he said everything is cleared including background check. its ready for the approval. but he don't know whats the status. Then in my presence, he sent an email to TSC officers for the possible approval. Will that influence and expedite the approval. Has anybody was in similar situation.

EB2-NIW-India, concurrent I-140/I-485 RD Oct. 2005.
Filed in CSC. Transferred to TSC in Mar 2006.
I-140 AD July 2006
I-485, Last LUD on 9/24/07 after SR.
FP2 in May 2007, no updates since this.

No info. on name check status, etc. Have not taken Infopass or been able to talk to TSC IO by POJ. Not written to anyone either.

If you agree to keep in touch and I can give you my email or you can give me yrs. Would be good to get in touch with more ppl with EB2-NIW India that filed in Sept-Oct 2005.

Check latest VB. NIW INDIA PD 4/1/2004, wait till it becomes current.
