Talked to my attorney

I talked to my company's attorney, who filed my I-485...etc. I asked him to follow-up on my I-485, second finger printing. He said, he knew couple of his clients who filed in December 2001, who got their 2nd FP notice but some others didnt get anything yet. He told me that he is going to follow up with CIS on my case and see if he can move my papers from the shelf.

Other than that, I guess he dont have a clue about any speeding up of processing.

I will update here, if something comes up on my table.
Good luck to all (including me)!! :)

May be he has a magic lamp like Aladdin and when he rub it a hideous BCIS genie will appear ....

Just kidding:D :D :D
Good Luck and keep us informed

I guess he goes personally to Laguna Niguel. Why I am saying this is, last year when we were waiting for our AP, after having booked our flight tickets for travel, I and my CEO talked to him on conference, to see if he can expedite.

Even though INS was processing the APs which were in the month of our applications, we got our APs within the next week after he said he will talk to the IIO. This would have been a co-incidence, I dont know.

Just HOPING, he talking to INS guys might trigger the move of my application from the shelf this time also because, my CEO called me when the attorney was in his office and I talked to them. This is not a sentiment but I think, rather than me talking to the attorney, if the one who is paying him talk, it would work.

I just thought of sharing & I shared.

Thanks for taking the effort to share the information, but it would be very helpful to all of us if you could find out more about how your lawyer actually contacted the BCIS officials.

We have heard of AILA link, different Fax number to fax inquires but this is the first time that a lawyer has directly spoken to the processing officer. Could you find out more details please?

I've been personally to Laguna Niguel. They don't allow talking to the IIO in person. Theer are 3-4 people in the front office who answers some basic qs and are very reluctant in giving out any information. They do not get in touch with IIO to get you more info and that's why that place is so deserted. Had it been the case as your lawyer said, you would not see us in this forum, instead at Laguna Niguel. But, I do appreciate you sharing this info in this forum. I wish somebody had that magic wand to go and change the policies of BCIS.

personally going to laguna niguel means a weekend at your expense at disneyland with his kids !! Don't be fooled

Appreciate your concerns!!

I told you he is an attorney. So, he may be fooling around. I dont know. I am neither getting fooled nor doing anything extra. I am just waiting as before but with additional hope that something might happen. If it works, its good and if it doesn't I dont loose or GAIN anything. I am in the same waiting boat.

140-takes-4ever,
As he is our company's attorney, I cannot talk to him directly and when I tried once, I was not allowed to talk to him. (Meaning, I have to pay from my pocket, if I have to talk to him). But, fortunately my boss is good enough to put him in conference call couple of times, so that I can ask him questions and to ask him to get my application status, which is not a regular practice in my company.

garun,
I dont know, what the CSC looks like. I havent been there. I buy whatever you say that going there didnt work for you. As I mentioned earlier, for my last AP in Jan 2003, I was told that my attorney went to CSC personally and got it done. that is why, I said, "I GUESS he goes personally......." Anyhow, I got my AP in time and I also said that it might be a co-incidence. I am sorry if I have mis-lead you.

Me talking to my attorney is not a big event. If I get my 485 approval because of that, then it might be one. Even then, I might think its a co-incidence just because I dont know and as I am not able to get more information regarding what my attorney did or not. So, I will stop discussing any further in this thread.

Good luck to all!!
