talked to IO at VSC

Talked to IO today\'s afternoon. He said that VSC is currentely processing December 99 cases, and I have 4-6 months to go. My ND is March 29, 99, EB1. I asked whether the nature of the case (EB1, EB2, or EB3) influences the speed of the I-485 processing. The answer was no, all EB cases are cooking in the same basket.

I wonder whether our board reflects the real situation with 485 approvals?
Most likely not, since most postapproved folks do not care about this annoying issue any more. Personally, I would like to forget this stuff as fast as possible...

I am sure it would not be 4-6 months. The reason being, the
PD moved very little during Nov\'98-Apr\'99 for most catagories,
and hence very few employment based 485s would have been
filed. .They are already processing Dec \'98. When I called today
morning, IIO said that April case has to wait couple of years!
When I asked her whether she means couple of years from
 today, she said "YES". I do not believe this irresponsible
(hopefully ) answer, and hope that she is not correct in her
prediction.
