I could talk to an IIO, who was quite friedly to me (I have talked to her earlier and could make her believe so).
I askes her about delays in 485 approvals and asked for favors as in past for getting my FP done.
As per her, It is impossible for IIOs to get the papers moved for any type of approvals if they are still with in time frame as being shown by their computers. She could ask/ request for a faster processing only if the case is superbly delayed for some reason.
She also told me if I could prove it to be a case of emergency, and fax her a reason for that, her supervisor could consider my case and move it faster.
She also added that lots of new people are being added to their departments including approving departments. Some of the cases, which we are seeing being approved are result of training og new recruits. Easy, straight forward cases FP will get approved and slowly every one will fall in to a systematic approval as per first come first serve basis.

FP guys: (if you think, you are very late) please start calling every day.
