I called VSC yesterday to check if they received my FP. Either the INS or my lawyer screwed up as a result of which I got my FP notice in Aug 2000 while I should have received it in June 2000. The person I spoke to was very nice and polite. She said that while Aug 99 cases are being processed mine will not because of the late FP. Also, that after the INS receives the FP from the FBI cases sit for about 60 days before they enter the review process and then it takes 2 to 5 weeks depending on the case. But it could take more or less.

I guess no one can give a precise answer on how long an indivual case will take. But based on what I was told and what others have been told I guess it is the day INS receives FP from FBI (note this can be different from date FBI sends results) plus 60 days wait plus another 30 to 60 days processing time. So about FP plus 4 months, lucky ones get it sooner and others later.

Don\' know if this is the whole truth.

I did my FP on 04/05/00. FBI transferred it to VSC on 04/17/00.
My RD 04/15/99, ND 06/02/99, PD 10/97, EB2, India. Still waiting. Whenever I talk to IIO, the usual answer is call back in 6-8 Weeks.

Usual IIO Garbage. My FP were done in 5/00 and RD ND in 7/99. I am still waiting while many people with RD, ND and FP later than mine were already approved.
