Talked to IIO today(2/6)...

Called early at 7am Central. Could get thru only after a lot of tries and was on hold for a lot longer than I expected. Anyway, this guy came on line and got all details like A#, last name and first name spelt out and address as well. I had filed AR11 in June 2002. The address matched except for the zip. This was my first call to VSC. He said that my attorney had called at least five times. This was news to me.

I called to find the deal with my FP. I'm one of those April 8-10 ND filers who have not had their FP yet. Our man starts to explain the whole 485 process to me. He said that I'm looking at a minimum of another 6-10 months before they get to this case. He reiterated that this is nothing official and is only an estimate. They are backed up for no fault of theirs but because of changes in policies in Washington DC.

He said that he will find out about my FP and put me on hold. Then the call got cut. Can you believe that? After all that time I spent getting connected...

Take it easy!!!. I am also one of those April 8-10 filers. What my attorney says is not ot worry about FP, once INS starts adjudicating April cases then they will issue FP. Only concern is that it may take a month more to approve our cases than others.

Can you please let me know, besides AR11, have you informed INS(VSC) about the change of address?

My RD is 4/12/2002 and my FP is already done in June 2002. It makes no sense how come you guys didn't received FP ?
 
Guys, Pls dont get me wrong. It is not my intent to blame the IIO for the cut line. It could be anything. I suspect the phone card I was using...

amusk, I only sent AR11. Are there other ways too? Any particular reason for asking?

thecrown007, its a jinx with all April 8-10 2002 ND filers. A lot of them have not got their FP notices. INS has not given out any reasons, as usual.

I found many, who changed their address, called IIO and updated new address on phone.

And I was under impression(read somewhere) that tere is huge pile of AR11 with INS so it may not update our files at GC processing centers.

It seems, from your case, they do update our files based on AR11.
