Spoke to a helpful IIO today. She reiterated upto 8/15 cases processing is being done and my and family's case is all set to pickup (RD: 8/9).
For some reason, she asked for my present company/ home address and whether my I-140 was from VSC only. I told her that my I-140 could be from VSC or TSC and I am not sure. She couldn't get hold of my I-140 record in the computer. She wanted to find out if my case is held up because of I140. But insisted that her assumption is everything should be alright and case should be assigned soon (pure guess) and if anything will be needed, attorneys will be informed.
She advised, on my asking, not to renew EAD for another 6 weeks (EAD expires 11/11/2002).
When I told her that two weeks back, IIO informed that case will be picked up in 1-2 weeks, she said that this can only be a guess and no body can say for sure when the file will be picked up.
