Talked to IIO just now...

Fellow waiters,

I just spoke with IIO few minutes ago. I was connected to TSC after dialing for 20 times and waited on line for nearly 50 minutes. Here is the brief conversation I had with a very not-so-rude officer:

Me: Hello Officer, I wanted to know the status of my I-485 that was applied about 20-months ago.
IIO: Receipt Number please.
Me: SRC-00-082-XXXXX
IIO: Hang in there a minute…
(after 3 minutes)
IIO: Sir, I see that your application is filed on Jan 2000; but we are currently processing that cases filed on July, \'99 (as if I didn\'t know). Your case is still pending.
Me: Do you have any idea when my case will be assigned to an officer?
IIO: I have no idea.
Me: My FP were taken some time in April, 2000 and I guess they are expired by now….
IIO: Yes, they are… I will send a notice to scheduling-department for a FP redo.
Me: Will you do that for my wife too?
IIO: What is her Receipt #?
Me: SRC-00-082-XXXXX
IIO: Any children?
Me: No sir.
IIO: I\'ll send a notice right away.
Me: Do you know when will they schedule for a FP redo? Meaning, when will I get a notice for FP redo?
IIO: I have no idea. Do you have anything to ask?
Me: Nothing; Thanks a lot.
IIO: Bye.
Me: Bye.

So, that is it folks… nothing new…

You can expect your 2nd FP redo within 7-10 days.I too had the same conversation with IIO on Aug 22nd.Got the notice on 31st Aug.Did FP\'s on 4th Sep.Checked with FBI and talked to IIO that my FP\'s cleared and nothing unusal about them and finally to wait till TSC starts processing Dec\'99 cases.Good luck.

Talked to IIO today.
After taking SRC#, the IIO read off the ND and FP date.
Finally mentioned that it was assigned to an officer on 09/14.
I do not believe this as so many are waiting with RD before mine.

I have posted my details at immitracker.com (RD:08/00,ND:09/00).
I advice everyone in this forum to do the same.
There are considerably less entries in the TSC tracker
compared to VSC/NSC though we know for a fact
that there are > 82K pending petitions.
 
calling IIO etc

how do you guys contact IIO..whenever i call, it is engaged. and i redialled many times but it would still be busy..i tried this for 6 months now and at different time of the day..

please share if there is a way or if some special phone is required here

Try early morning (from 7:30 AM on) or before 4:00 PM (3:30 on). Once you get
connected, please do not exit from the menu system. Good luck!
 
u mean the ssame menu system

that comes up off hours (Answering system) thru which u can also check the status on the AVM or is it a different system

FP: 1/00 (which expired in April and never received any notice)

My husband just talked to an IIO today. He asked about the fingerprint redo notices for both of us, and the officer said he\'d be sending them right away. He also mentioned that once the fingerprint is done, it\'ll take about 90 days for approval. I felt very luck calling them today to find out it\'s our responsibility to call them for fingerprint redo or it\'ll take forever to get the notice from them. I think many of us have felt so unfair that many people got their approvals with a later RD, and I guess many of us were just stuck with the fingerprint notices. Probably that\'s the reason our applications were forgotten/ignored.

If your fingerprint has expired, talk to an officer to make sure they still have your application in process. I might be wrong, but that\'s better than just waiting for my lucky day to come!!!
