I talked to IIO, He said your attoreny called us on last monday..
        we have already told the status to him..then I said according to my attoreny
        that NSC is processing Rd:20-OCT-00 and we are very close...
        then he said nothing then I asked how long we have to wait...He said
        wait for another 3 month....??
        Is this behavior of IIO with all like AVM 330 to 360 days ??

So, if someone doesn\'t know how to grab info from Information Officer,
we shouldn\'t blame the whole NSC nor the whole INS.
All INS centers in total has approved about 4 million applications last year. That was massive work load for them.

They receive about 5 million applications each year. They process
about 4m. Ofcourse they have about 4 millions pending application
too.

Just spoke with IIO

She said rightnow they are processing Oct 25th ND cases.. She asked me to wait for amonth or so. The file is not in processing area yet..

SPEAKING TO IIO s

Attn: To 5th year at NSC, I am really surprised to see the advise of our friend here that we should speak politely to IIOs at NSC, I really do not understand how did he got the idea or info, that we are not speaking to them politely, HERE I SEE MOST OF OUR I 485 WAITERS GOT BITTER EXPERIENCE WITH IIOs, I too one of the victims of IIOs, of their rude behaviour, WHEN I CALLED I SPOKE TO THEM VERY POLITELY, I SAID GOOD MORNING, HOW IS THE WEATHER, I TRIED TO KEEP THEM IN GOOD HUMOUR, STILL I COULD NOT GET PROPER RESPONSE FROM THEM, 10 out of 9 had the same bad experience with IIO s, only 1 out of 10 may be a lucky like the person who is defending INS. This is my view. I hope most of the people who are here will agree with me.

The IIO are generally OK. As per communicating successfully with IIOs, being polite is only a part of it. Being quick, pricise and well informed of their practice is more important. If fact, if I am doing their job I would hate any body who is wasting my time or anyone who appear to be questioning my sincerity.

Agreed they are not the model for best government agencies, but I think, they are doing a decent job.
 
SPEAKING TO IIOs

Hello Friends,
I am not at all getting mad, since some people are not agreeing with the kind of experience that we are facing in getting the right kind of info from IIOs at NSC center, I already quoted my experience here, what happend when I talk to them 3 times in 2 months.
1. First time when I called , she told me that they are expecting VISA # FROM DEPT OF STATE, as soon as they get visa #s they will process my I 485 application (we all know this was a lie from her)
Reasoning is, with out visa #s available to us, first of all we will not be able to file I 485 with them. I hope U all will agree with them.

2. Second time she told me that they are having audit, and hence they are going very slow in processing I 485 applications.

3. Third time she told me that the audit is over BUT she is not sure when she will my application will be assigned to an officer, My RD 08/30/00 AND ND 09/21/00, Lin # 00-264-5xxxx, EB 2 INDIA, non-RIR.

4. TO MY SURPRISE I SEE LOT OF I 485 APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN APPROVED AFTER MY RD/ND, for instances even MARCH 2001, got approved, then what some of my friends has to say, about the attitude of IIOs, NSC in particular, in processing the applications of I 485.

I hope now who has dis-agreed with me , now will agree with me, PL CORRECT ME IF IAM WRONG, your comments are most welcome. I RARELY GET OFFENDED, GOD has given me lots of PATIENCE.

If you are talking to Analytical person whose concern with point to point if you ask about wheather or non-sense things
s/he will never reply and s/he will think that you are waisting the time...Most of ladies are not analytical they
are just expersive and explain well.. But it is very hard to deal with analytical..person..//
I guess you must agree with me reagarding behavior of different persons..///
